Summer Internet Special

1x10 S4S (surfaced on 4 sides): $0.70 per lineal foot. Great for crafts, shelves and especially flooring. White Pine Flooring? Are you crazy? Isn’t pine too soft for floors? Aren’t I just going to have to replace it in 5 years after I wear through it right down to the subfloor? Aren’t my dogs and kids just going to ruin it? No! Pine lasts! That’s why we build homes out of white pine. Ask anyone with a pine floor and they will tell you just how much they love it. The owner’s sister has 150 year old wide-plank white pine floors in her country farmhouse and they are the pride of her home. About ten years ago we needed a quick floor put down in our log home office, so we laid 1x10 S4S down and we face-nailed it with cut masonry nails, the kind you can buy at any hardware store. Since then, we have proceeded to abuse it spectacularly, dragging furniture across it, wheeling our heavy show displays across it, dropping our coffee mugs on it and stomping our snowy boots and muddy shoes across it year after year. It looks beautiful and it convinces many log home customers to put it in their new homes. Give us a call and lay down a fabulous floor that will last for generations to come at a ridiculously low price.

Round Log Siding

Each piece of our round log siding is precision crafted in our planer mill using a, 3"x8", 4"x10" or a 5"x12" timber. The dramatic round profiles of our premium log homes are perfectly simulated for those who are either remodeling an existing home or wish to build a traditional frame built house. Novelty Siding

Novelty SidingWood novelty siding was a popular type of siding around the turn of the 20th century. The scalloped cove with the shiplap edge and the resulting effect of lighted space and shadow provide depth and texture to your home. The style remains popular, as nearly all modern day vinyl siding is based off of novelty siding. Our kiln-dried novelty siding is available in either 6" or 8" widths and is available in either clear or knotty grades. Note: please allow extra time for knotty novelty siding due to sorting and grading of the lumber. Please call for pricing.

Tongue and Groove

Tongue and Groove Siding1x6 and 1x8 t&g is always in stock. There’s a reason that we sell so much of this stuff: you are not going to find a better product or better value anywhere! 1x6 t&g: $0.45 per lineal foot. 1x8 t&g: $0.70 per lineal foot.

Timbers

TimbersTimbers are one of our most popular items here at Estemerwalt. Square timbers are available in a wide variety of different sizes in even lengths from 8 foot to a 20-foot maximum. Choose from three different styles:

S4S: These timbers are planed so that they are smooth on all four sides—a very clean and uniform style.

Rough Sawn: Looking for a more dramatic appearance? Rough sawn timbers are a very popular choice here at Estemerwalt. While most saw mills nowadays use a band saw to cut their lumber, we still use a circular saw, which gives our rough timbers the characteristic curved saw-marks along each face, just like the old time sawmills. A light sanding will accentuate these saw marks even more prominently and give your project a rustic, handcrafted look.

Rustic Aged Rough Sawn: Barn wood has become very fashionable in the past few years, and due to the relative scarcity of old barns being disassembled, the lumber and beams from them have a very fashionable price to match. For the customer who is looking to simulate the aged beam appearance, we have just the beams you are looking for at a much more reasonable price. The dark patinas on our timbers are the natural result of air-drying and sunlight. The darkest beam, when planed, will turn bright white. Dark rough sawn beams contrast beautifully with our planed tongue and groove paneling. Please be advised that sizes, lengths and color are limited to our existing stock. Please call for pricing.
